ESSA: Many burglaries and few safes
Number of cases is rising: don't wait until you are 'hit'
Burglars strike more and more often. The number of residential burglaries rose in 2010 again by 6.6 per cent. The crime statistics of the police recorded 121,347 cases, roughly 7000 more than the year before. The police found the criminals in only 15.9 per cent of the cases.
The European Security Systems Association e.V., a certification authority in accordance with EN 45011 for security products, advises not to wait with the purchase of a certified safe until one becomes a victim of a burglary.
